JUNIOR DESIGNER

(FULL-TIME)

We are boutique firm looking for a junior designer with prior firm experience to join our team. Qualified candidates will be design-obsessed, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to take on different types of projects. Candidate will take on a junior designer role as well as assist the Maison Ko team with interior design responsibilities on residential and commercial projects that span the Greater Los Angeles Area. Candidate must have prior junior level (or comparable) designing experience with mid-to-high end projects. Looking to hire someone that loves design, is on top of current trends, great knowledge of vendors, and developed sense of taste and style. This is a full-time position.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Ability to develop concepts through design development

• Supporting Principal Designer on all aspects of design

• Project management

• Liaising with clients, vendors, contractors, etc.

• AutoCAD drafting

• Creation of schedules and specification sheets

• Sourcing and purchasing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years minimum of professional experience in full service design and/or at a high end design firm

• MUST BE Proficient in AutoCAD

• Proficiency in Sketchup and/or Revit is a plus

• Local in Los Angeles

• Must have access to a car

• Knowledge of local vendors, showrooms, designers, and market trends

• Self motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

• Willing to multi-task

• Innovative

• Extremely detail oriented

• Solid understanding of residential design, architecture and construction in Los Angeles.

This position will work in the office, as well as on site and remote, and some physical work (such as moving small furniture, carrying accessories, and running errands) will sometimes be required.
